About Me
Son of Maurine (Gilbert) Erwood and Frederick John Erwood, both deceased. Frederick had 2 brothers, Robert (Bob) and Cap (Richard) I believe all three brothers were born in Chicago. Frederick was born in 1914. Bob and Frederick lived near Indianapolis, Indiana. I am residing in western Indiana. Post a Comment9 CommentsBrett Kyle Erwood says... Hi Brett Dear me, another Gail Erwood in the world, who would have thought it!! Don't think there is a button for photo submission on here, if there is I haven't found it. Probably easier if you email them to me. My email address is gailerwood@bigpond.com So, your grandparents were the ones who came over from England ... I am more and more interested!! Looking forward to seeing the pics! Gail Erwood says... I don't see a "button" to click on to submit a photo Gail Erwood says...I will try to send a photocopy of him in a few days . I have a photo of him , my mother, Maurine and oldest sister Barbara taken in 1942. Incidently, Barbara named her youngest of 2 daughters Gail. The oldest daughter, (40), is named Erin. I am not sure what part of England my grandparents werre from. My oldest sister knows more, but I haven't heard from her in ten years.
Hi Brett
So interested in your comment that the photo of my dad bears such a resemblance to your father. Any chance of seeing a pic of him so that I can see it for myself?? Refresh me again, where in England were yours from, after they left Wales of course. If there's a resemblance, I'd really like to try and see if there's a connection ... wouldn't that be great!!
This photo of George Frederick has an uncanny resemblance to my Father Frederick JOhn Erwood
My father's father immigrated from England. Farther back in our family tree traces back to Wales.
I know my grandfather ( John Erwood), immigrated to the United States from England. I remember my father saying our ancestory goes back to Wales.
Hey Brett!
Just wondering if you have any idea where your Erwoods may have originated from ... I mean before they came to the USA. Frederick and Maurice are names that were used in my family, so just interested!! Cheers from OZ Gail
Hello fellow Erwood!
I've just started looking into my family tree, not really getting all that far to be honest. Made it to my Great Grandparents and that's about it so far... Even that's a bit sketchy. Anyway, I just wanted to extend the hand of friendship across the pond. I was shocked to find Erwoods in Australia, and now I find you in USA!!! Amazing! |
